Prices of sugar rise 15-20 rupees in Delhi because of improved demand and a likely fall in supply in the near term. Supplies are likely to be affected as the government may block traffic on some routes connecting western Uttar Pradesh and Delhi for a week starting July 12 because of religious processions to Haridwar during the period.
