Futures contracts of soybean, mustard, rapeseed mustard seed oilcake were down, while refined soyoil, and crude palm oil contracts rise. Soybean contracts on the CBOT were down because of expectations of record sowing of the oilseed in the US, the largest producer in the world. Weak demand from China is also adding to the losses. China soybean imports from US was down 7% in March, while the country total imports during the month increased by 3.7%, indicative of China demand shifting to other origins like Brazil and Canada. Refined soyoil futures on the NCDEX were mixed, while soyoil May contracts were down. Arrivals across the country were estimated at 395,000 bags (1bag=85kg), compared with 445,000 bags.
