Export prices of most rice varieties in Thailand rose in the week ended. The increase in prices was due to higher demand from importing countries. Bangladesh has signed pacts to import up to 1 mln tn of rice from Thailand each year over the next four years. In Thailand, the price of the 5% broken white rice was $415 per tn, up $15 per tn on week, and that of 25% broken white rice was $398 per tn, up $12 per tn.
