The average price of 25% broken non-basmati rice exported from India during Jan-Sep rose 7.2% on year to $360 a tn. Average export price of same variety of rice from Thailand was $383 a tn during Jan-Sep. The export price of the Indian rice variety rose because of robust demand due to its good quality and easy availability when compared with competing origins.
