Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has raised its estimate for global wheat production in 2017-18 to 750.1 mln tn, up from 748.8 mln tn projected in September. The increase is mainly due to expectations of higher production in the European Union and Russia, which more than outweighed a cut in Australia’s crop estimate.
