France wheat output in 2017 seen rising 34% on year.

Wheat output in France is seen rising 34% on year in 2017 to 36.78 MMT. The rise in production can be attributed to higher yield this season and favourable weather conditions. Low pest pressure and timely rains in June and July aided the higher production. Global wheat production is pegged lower this season due to unfavourable weather conditions in US and Australia, and rise in production in France can balance out the deficit.
