FRP payments in Maharashtra can be made in two instalments

The Maharashtra government enacted a resolution on Monday that allows sugar mills to pay FRP in two payments. The first instalment would be the basic FRP to the farmers, depending on the region’s typical recovery rate. Payments and ultimate recovery would be determined within 15 days of the season’s conclusion. And the second instalment would be paid after taking into account the proceeds from the sale of sugar and ethanol produced from diverse sources, such as cane juice, B heavy, or C molasses.
