The government is likely to consider a hike in import duty of wheat in the first fortnight of April. A call on raising import duty will be taken in first or second week of April, We are waiting to assess the crop arrivals. So, a decision is likely by Apr 14. While arrivals from the fresh wheat crop have started in Indore, supplies of the new crop in other major producing markets will start by next month.
