The government’s wheat procurement for 2018-19 (Apr-Mar) season is set to start in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan from Mar 15, nearly 15 days before the new marketing year begins. In Madhya Pradesh, the procurement will begin in Indore and Ujjain and in Rajasthan, the government will start purchasing from Kota. The procurement at other centres will start from Apr 1 as usual.
