Haryana agencies procure 24 LMT wheat from mandi.

In Haryana, the five Government procuring agencies and traders have purchased at Minimum Support Price more than 24.01 lakh metric tonnes of wheat that have arrived in the mandis (grain markets) so far during the current season. The procurement process was running smoothly in the mandis, said a spokesman of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department. Giving details of the wheat procured by government agencies, he said that over 6.59 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been procured by Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, whereas Haryana State Co-operative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (HAFED) has purchased more than 8.66 lakh metric tonnes of wheat. Food Corporation of India has purchased over 3.58 lakh MT of wheat and Haryana Warehousing Corporation has purchased over 5.16 lakh MT of wheat.
