Haryana Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs said that adequate arrangements have been made for the procurement of paddy commencing from October 1 in the State. E-procurement of paddy would be made only after the farmers give their consent to the market committees, said Kamboj while presiding over a meeting of District Food and Supplies Controllers of all districts here to review the preparedness regarding the paddy procurement in the state. Payment of the farmers would be made directly into their bank accounts and for this, they have been asked to link their accounts with Aadhar. He also directed the officers to prepare the list of milers in their respective districts. It was apprised in the meeting that information regarding the procurement of paddy would be available on website agmarketnet.gov.in. The Minister urged the farmers to bring paddy to the mandis after drying it properly and said that meters in adequate numbers would be installed in the mandis to determine the percentage of moisture in their produce. Farmers could get determined the moisture content in their produce through meters of any other agency also.
