The progress in the ongoing rabi sowing of wheat has created a bearish sentiment in spot as well as futures market. Wheat acreage in the country was up 6.5% from a year ago at 2.74 mln ha. So far, there has been no report of crop damage or any other problem in rabi sowing so market is expecting the output to be good this year.
