ICE sugar futures low as surplus expectations weigh.

Sugar futures plunged to their lowest level in nearly 14 months after an industry forecast affirmed expectations of upcoming surplus supplies and prices plunged through technical support, exacerbating losses. July raw sugar finished down 0.64 cent, or 4.3%, at 14.23 cents per lb to 14.20 cents, the lowest level since April 2016. August white sugar settled down $12.70, or 2.92% at $422.10 per tonne. International Sugar Organization said on Thursday that it expects a global sugar surplus of about 3 million tonnes in 2017/18.
