IMD’s Agrimet division has advised farmers in Maharashtra to complete sowing of late varieties of wheat by the end of next week. Farmers should sow late varieties of the grain like Phule Samadhan (NIAW 1994) variety. Under limited irrigation condition, they are advised to use Phule Netrawati (NIAW-1415) variety. The state’s wheat acreage in the ongoing rabi season was at 411,000 ha as of Nov 30, up 7.5% on year
