Improved demand helped maize prices to go up.

Maize prices in key spot markets were up because of improved demand for the crop with desired moisture content amid limited arrivals. Farmers have been holding back stocks, waiting for prices to rise.

In Davangere, Karnataka, the coarse cereal was sold for 1,750-60 rupees per 100 kg. In Indore, prices 1,745 rupees per 100 kg, adding that about 200 bags arrived. Maize futures on NCDEX were not traded.
