In India soybean prices trading firm to positive taking cues from the International markets . Yesterday in CBOT soy complex hit one day historical rally. The soybean prices traded closed to US$13 & treaded high of USD $12.98 is the highest for a nearby contract since August 2014. The soybean traded high due to demand from China and talk of possible lower crop yields due to on-going dryness in Argentina and Brazil. Argentina workers strike is over as an agreement was reached with the oilseed workers unions in a meeting held at the Ministry of Labor to lift the strike that had paralyzed port terminals and the agro-industrial complex. Soybean crushing companies and other farm industries activities have been put on hold since the workers walked off the job on December 9, 2020. Argentina soybean crushing companies signed a contract with the country oilseed workers unions yesterday. The deal includes a gradual two part 25% increase in salaries from January to August, with increases for the rest of the year to be determined by official inflation figures. An estimated 170 vessels loading has been delayed.
Today soybean prices recovered and improved by INR 250-300 PMT in the domestic markets taking cues from CBOT and also getting support from the MDEX. All India soybeans arrival are reported around 28,000-30,000 metric tons in the domestic markets. In the future exchange soybean prices opened firm to positive and traded high by 1.60% & closed at INR 45,260 against yesterday close of INR 45,000.

Market Prices :
The soybean meal prices opened flat to firm in the domestic market with the recovery in soybean prices. Still the soybean meal demand is hand to mouth. The soybean meal prices range INR 32,300-35,700+ GST across India. Reseller are quoting soybean meal prices lower by INR 200-400 PMT.
The Sunflower meal pellet prices remains same & the importers are quoting in the price range INR 28,000- 28,500 +GST PMT ex Tuticorin port. Whereas resellers are quoting prices INR 27,900-28,000 +GST PMT.
The rapeseed meal prices opened firm in the domestic markets.
