The price of 25% broken non-basmati rice exported from India is $374 per tn in August, lower than $379 in July. Export prices declined month-on-month because of poor demand from the importing countries, and also because the new crop is likely to reach the markets soon. The prices averaged around $358 a tn in Jan-Aug, up 6.4% from a year ago. Average price of 25% broken variety of non-basmati rice from Thailand was at $383 a tn during Jan-Aug, down 3.1% from a year ago.
