Export of pulses to neighboring countries remains amazing despite short supply in domestic market last year. India allows export of organic pulses in limited quantity. Only kabuli Chana is out of export net. India exported 0.255 million tonne pulses in 2015-16 while in 2016-17 export is registered at 0.137 million tonne. In current MY illegal export may increase as there is ample availability in domestic market and prices are ruling lower.
