The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs today approved raising the minimum support price for wheat by 110 rupees to 1,735 rupees per 100 kg for 2018-19 (Apr-Mar) to ensure remunerative prices to farmers. Announcement of higher support prices ahead of the rabi sowing season are expected to boost acreage under key rabi crops.
