Prices of both maize and wheat were unchanged in key wholesale markets of the country. Demand for maize was low due to poor quality of the crop but prices didn’t did as they are already at low levels. The moisture content in the crop is high due to rains at the time of harvesting; wet weather conditions also led to fungus infestation in the grain.
