Rice basmati prices firmed up by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale grains market due to pick up in demand from retailers. Wheat also strengthened on increased offtake by flour mills against fall in arrivals from producing belts. Traders said pick up in demand from retailers mainly led to rise in rice basmati prices.
