India’s soybean acreage rose 13.2% on year to 23,200 ha as of Thursday, due to increased sowing in Arunachal Pradesh and other minor states. Farmers sown nearly 20,500 ha of soybean a year ago, while the normal acreage as of Thursday, based on the last three years’ average, also stood at 20,500 ha.
