India spot wheat prices rise on firm demand.

Wheat prices rose in Kota, the key wholesale market due to low arrivals and firm demand ahead of the monsoon season. About 12,000 bags (1 bag = 100 kg) of wheat arrived in Kota today while the average arrivals at this time are around 20,000 bags, local trader Aniket Mehta said. Supplies are down as crop lower and rains have also disrupted arrivals. Demand for wheat, however, is firm as stockists want to store before the upcoming monsoon season and the sentiment is also bullish due to recent government measures
