Wheat prices rose in the key wholesale markets today due to expectations of an upcoming hike in import duty on the food grain. The government is likely to hike the duty on wheat imports from current 10% to boost farmers realisations and encourage them to sow more, adding that the hike expected after the end of the festival season.
