India wheat prices rise on talks govt may give bonus on MSP.

Wheat futures on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange ended over 1% higher today due to talks that the Centre may announce a bonus of 200 rupees per 100 kg over for procurement in 2018-19 (Apr-Mar). This bonus, if it is announced, will be over and above the minimum support price of 1,735 rupees per 100 kg. After Madhya Pradesh government announced a bonus of 200 rupees per 100 kg for wheat procurement in next season, market participants started speculating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may make a similar announcement for the entire country.
