Government agencies have started procurement since 15th March 2018. Until 28th March’18 government has procured around 2.11 lakh tonnes of wheat. Of the total quantity procured, around 2.05 lakh tonnes have been procured from Madhya Pradesh, 0.04 lakh tonnes from Gujarat and 0.02 in Rajasthan. In Rabi marketing season 2018-19 government has set procurement target of 32 MMT.
