Maize exports have reached USD 816.31 million in the first ten months of the current fiscal year 2021-22 (April-January), surpassing the USD 634.85 million obtained in the previous fiscal year, according to the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Despite logistical obstacles created by the COVID-19 pandemic epidemic, maize exports nearly six-folded from USD 142.8 million in 2019-20, bringing the total value of shipping to USD 1593.73 million in the past three years.
