Indonesia has sought 20 percent of Malaysia`s rice import quota. Indonesia hopes Malaysia could allocate 20 percent of its rice import quota, or around 150 thousand tons for it. The cooperation between Indonesia and Malaysia had grown stronger, supported by increasing trade of more than 21 percent in the first semester this year. Indonesia has started exporting rice to Malaysia from October this year, totaling 25 thousand tons.
