Indonesia stepping up wheat imports from Russia.

Russia exported 4.1 MMT of wheat in September 2017, or 15.8% more than in September 2016. The 2017/18 pace of wheat exports from Russia is 12.7% ahead of last year. Over 9.4 MMT of wheat was shipped from the country in the first three months of the current marketing year. As before, the key end markets for Russian wheat at the time traditionally included Egypt (21% of total deliveries) and Turkey (11%). Also, Russian wheat continued to be supplied to the markets of Bangladesh, Nigeria, Sudan, Azerbaijan, Lebanon, the UAE and others.
