Price of soybean in Indore was steady as both demand and arrivals were weak, traders said. Demand remained weak as crushing plants have already replenished their inventories, they said.
Arrivals, too, fell as stockists stayed away from the market due to low prices, traders said.
In Indore, the oilseed was sold for 3,770-3,790 rupees per 100 kg, steady from Thursday. Arrivals in Madhya Pradesh, the largest grower, were steady at 70,000 bags (1 bag = 100 kg).
Soybean futures on the NCDEX, too, were largely flat tracking spot cues. The April soybean contract was flat at 3,662 rupees. (Sampad Nandy)
