Prices of wheat in the benchmark market of Indore fell marginally due to adequate supplies in markets. Around 2,000-3,000 bags (1 bag = 100 kg) of wheat arrive daily in Indore, despite a lean season, because farmers are now liquidating stocks ahead of the kharif season. Prices also fell taking cues from weakness in global markets, where uncertainty over the crop loss in the US due to Hurricane Irma pulled down prices.
