Iraq buys 50000 tonnes wheat in tender from Australia.

Iraq’s state grains board has purchased 50,000 tonnes wheat to be sourced from Australia in an international tender which closed last week. The wheat was purchased on Sunday at $312.50 a tonne c & f free out. The tender had sought wheat sourced optionally from the United States, Canada or Australia. The tender had closed on July 31 with offers remaining valid until Aug. 6. Wheat from the United States was offered lowest in the tender at $299.19 a tonne c&f free out. Several offers of U.S. wheat were also made between $302.02 and $307.20 a tonne c&f free out. No offers for Canadian wheat are reported.
