J Thomas and Co Pvt Ltd sold 28 tn of the 114.11 tn of coffee on offer in Bengaluru. The volume sold was 22.2% lower than the previous auction held on March 12. Of the total coffee available for auction, 67.89 tn was of Arabica grade, while 46.22 tn was of the Robusta variety. Arabica and Robusta grades come in two varieties–washed or parchment, and unwashed or cherry. In India, Arabica parchment beans are also known as Arabica plantation.
