Coffee growers in Karnataka are sceptical of the Coffee Board’s estimate of a bumper output in 2017-18 (Oct-Sep), saying the target will be difficult to achieve. Coffee Board has pegged the country’s 2017-18 output at a record of 350,400 MT, up 12.3% from 312,000 MT year ago. The country’s output in 2017-18 may be estimated between 300,000 MT and 310,000 MT.
