IMD has asked farmers in western parts of Madhya Pradesh to begin sowing soybean. The southwest monsoon is progressing well and has covered most of the state and good soil moisture following rains will make for favourable sowing conditions. During June 1-28, western Madhya Pradesh received 12% above normal rains, while the eastern part got 25% below normal rains.
