Madhya Pradesh official says govt to deliver on wheat bonus promise.

Even as the wheat procurement at the minimum support price, devoid of a promised bonus, a senior state government official clarified that a notification regarding procurement at 2,000 rupees per 100 kg was in the pipeline.The government had earlier promised to pay 265 rupees per 100 kg over and above the support price. The state government does not want to call it a bonus and is looking for ways to bring it under a different scheme…but the registered farmers will definitely get 2,000 rupees a 100 kg for their produce. Those who had already sold their produce to the government at the minimum support price would also be paid the bonus amount
