Traders in Madhya Pradesh fear that rains in the coming days may damage kharif maize crop. Madhya Pradesh has been receiving rains for last two-to-three days and according to IMD, rainfall is likely to continue for next 24 hours. Although rainfall in the state has not been very good so far but maize crop is growing well. And the fear is that since weather has been dry till now, there may be rainfall in coming days which may be harmful for maize crop.
