Madhya Pradesh wheat harvest may fall 10% as rains play truant.

Wheat production in Madhya Pradesh, India’s second largest producer of the staple food grain, is expected to fall by over 10% in the ongoing rabi season as dry weather conditions have led to a fall in acreage. The central state is likely to harvest around 21.9 mln tn wheat this season, down from last year’s output of 24.3 mln tn.
