Maharashtra has notified the procurement schedule for paddy at MSP for the 2017-18 (Jul-Jun) crop year to prevent distress sale by farmers in the state. Procurement for kharif paddy started and will continue till Mar 31, while rabi paddy will be procured from May 1 to Jun 30. FCI has been appointed the nodal agency and procurement operations would be carried out jointly by Maharashtra State Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd and Tribal Development Corp.
