Prices of maize in Gulabbagh, Bihar, rose because of export demand and purchases by key consuming sectors such as poultry and starch manufacturers. In Gulabbagh, maize prices were up 15 rupees at 1,150 rupees per 100 kg, while in Delhi, they were 10-15 rupees higher at 1,150 rupees. Good demand from Bangladesh is supporting prices. Arrivals in Gulabbagh were unchanged at 2,600 tn. The most active June maize contract on NCDEX ended over 1% higher, tracking gains in the spot market.
