Prices of maize rise at Davangere in Karnataka due to better quality of the crop arriving in the market. Earlier, the moisture content in the crop was higher. Average arrivals in the market largely unchanged at 1,000 bags (1 bag = 100 kg) per day so far and are likely to rise in the coming days as harvesting is still going on.
