A hike in minimum support price for wheat in 2018-19 (Apr-Mar) by 110 rupees to 1,735 rupees per 100 kg prevented prices in Madhya Pradesh’s benchmark market of Indore from falling further. Wheat prices, which falling due to poor demand, did not decline anymore after the government announced rise in MSP.
