National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India has procured 203,828 tn of urad, harvested during the kharif season, as of Jan 8. The pulses have been procured at the minimum support price of 5,400 rupees per 100 kg, under the price support scheme. Procurement is currently on in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh, while the agency has completed procurement in Telangana, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. Around 183,424 urad growers have sold their produce in the procurement drive.
