NAFED procured 40,086 tonne of chana seed under the price stabilisation fund. The procurement drive, which began early this month, is still under way in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan, the top growers in the country. Maximum procurement of the pulse is carried out in Rajasthan at 33,373 tonne. Around 16,148 farmers across the country have benefited from the procurement drive.
