Futures contracts of castor seed on the NCDEX were down nearly 2% due to a rise in stocks of castor seed at exchange warehouses. Stocks of castor seed at exchange-accredited warehouses were at 95,381 tonne, compared with 91,295 tonne a week ago. Weakness in benchmark spot markets of Gujarat, where higher supplies weighed on prices, also hampered sentiment. Castor seed arrivals in Gujarat were estimated at 100,000 bags (1bag=75kg) against 80,000 bags.
