NCDEX coriander hits 9-week low on subdued demand.

Coriander contracts on NCDEX hit a nine-week low because of subdued demand from domestic retailers and exporters. Demand for the spice was muted due to heavy rains in Rajasthan, the largest producer of the spice. Higher stock at exchange warehouses, likely to be marked for delivery in the next two months, is also seen weighing on coriander prices. Around 15,285 tn of coriander is eligible to be marked for delivery in Aug-Sep. This may lead to a rise in supply in the physical market. Arrivals in Rajasthan pegged at 3,200 bags, each bag weighing 40 kg, against 2,000 bags on previous close.
