Futures contracts of cottonseed oilcake rose marginally due to shortage of good quality new cotton crop. Severe pink bollworm pest attack in Maharashtra has affected the crop across the state leading to a fall in arrivals of good quality cotton, in turn reducing the supply of cottonseed for crushing.
