Futures contracts of maize fell on the NCDEX, as investors booked profits after prices rise in the last three trading sessions. Prices are up earlier due to reports of lower acreage of kharif maize so far in India. India’s kharif maize acreage is lagging 5.1% on year at 7.9 mln ha as of 31 aug due to dry spell in major producing states in south India.
