Futures contracts of soybean on the NCDEX trading lower on expectations of a higher output in the upcoming kharif season and higher stock of the oilseed with farmers. Area under soybean for 2017-18 kharif season 26,900 ha as of 8 June, up 16.5% on year. Soybean stock with farmers 4.1 mln tn, more than double the stock a year ago. July contract down 0.6% from the previous close.
