NCDEX soybean falls over 1% on weak domestic demand

Futures contracts of soybean on NCDEX fell over 1% lower due to weak demand from domestic millers.

A sharp fall in soymeal exports also weighed on prices. In January, soymeal exports slumped to 6,107 tn from 86,378 a year ago.

Soymeal is a derivative of soybean.

The most active March delivery contract of soybean on NCDEX was 1.1% lower at 3,896 rupees per 100 kg. For the rest of the week, soybean contracts are seen in a range of 3,775-3,950 rupees, and downside is seen limited because of declining arrivals in domestic markets.
